Terry Muñoz
Summary
PFC Terrence “Terry” Muñoz is a 22-year-old line cook on the breakfast shift at the Voss Campus mess hall, working under The Cook. Three weeks into his posting and still learning where things are kept. After a confrontation with Ronnie Vint at approximately 0700 — in which Ronnie, already foul-tempered after discovering the mess bar had no sausage rolls, scotch eggs, chicken tikka masala, or Old Speckled Hen the previous evening, demanded real fried eggs and got them through sheer intimidation — Terry is now a thoroughly cowed individual who will comply with virtually any request from “that British guy” without question.
Physical Description
- Stocky build, about 5’7"
- Patchy attempt at a moustache he should probably give up on
- Forearms covered in old grease burns from kitchen work
- Wears his apron like armour, paper hat at a defeated angle
- Perpetually sweating — not from the heat, from the anxiety
Personality & Mannerisms
- Speech pattern: Talks too fast when nervous (which is always). Answers questions with questions. “The eggs? You want the eggs scrambled? Or like — fried? Because the fryer’s — I mean the griddle’s — look, the powdered ones are ready now, Sergeant.”
- Calls everyone “Sergeant” regardless of actual rank — got screamed at once for guessing wrong and never recovered
- Flinches when people raise their voices
- Eager to please to the point of self-destruction
- Genuinely decent kid who just wants to get through his posting without incident
The Egg Incident (Session 01)
Ronnie rolled into the mess hall at 0700, fresh off an hour’s run and already in a foul mood. The night before, he’d gone to the mess bar looking for anything resembling civilised food — sausage rolls, scotch eggs, chicken tikka masala, a pint of Old Speckled Hen — and Paul the bartender had none of it. American slop and American beer. Worse, Paul had then pulled out a notepad and calmly taken down Ronnie’s requests — sausage rolls, scotch eggs, chicken tikka masala, Old Speckled Hen — promising to “see if I can order them in,” which somehow made the whole thing ten times worse. Ronnie went to bed hungry, furious, and with no one left to shout at, ran it off at 0600, and arrived at breakfast expecting the bare minimum: real eggs.
The breakfast line had powdered eggs, reconstituted sausage, and toast that could stop a 9mm round.
Terry made the mistake of saying “We don’t have fresh eggs on the line, Ser—”
That’s as far as he got. Ronnie didn’t shout — that’s the terrifying part. He leaned across the counter, pale blue eyes flat and unblinking, and said something quiet enough that only Terry heard it. Whatever it was, Terry went white, nodded rapidly, and disappeared into the back kitchen. He returned four minutes later with two fried eggs on toast, sourced from god knows where — probably The Cook’s personal stash.
Ronnie took the plate without a word of thanks. Terry’s hands didn’t stop shaking until mid-morning.
(Mechanically: Ronnie’s Intimidation 12 vs Terry’s Will 9. No contest needed — Terry folded before Ronnie even got properly started. Bully [-10] means Ronnie doesn’t feel a flicker of guilt about terrorising mess hall staff. Bad Temper [-10] was already primed by last night’s disappointment at the bar.)
Current Status
Employed at Voss Campus. Now thoroughly intimidated by Ronnie Vint. Terry’s eggs are ready before Ronnie reaches the counter every morning since.

Tactical Value (Player Notes)
Terry is not The Cook — he’s the new guy working under him. He’s a potential unwitting asset: he’ll pass messages, “forget” to lock the dry stores, or look the other way when things go missing from the kitchen, all without understanding he’s being played. The Cook has the criminal instincts; Terry just doesn’t want trouble. Two separate routes into the same supply chain is good business.
