Summary
Major Jenkins is a former Army Ranger who became the first operative fitted with a Voss Combat Suit. He represents the cutting edge of Voss Dynamics’ experimental military augmentation program, serving as both test pilot and field operator. His calm demeanor under extreme pressure—including the deadpan observation of flying carpets during high-stress situations—demonstrates exceptional psychological resilience.
Jenkins accompanied the team during the Afghanistan mission targeting The Exploding Man. He took point during the cave infiltration and deployed a Sonic Weapon to incapacitate the target, though the weapon drained the suit’s power reserves significantly. His suit provides extraordinary protection (DR 70 torso, DR 50 limbs) and enhanced physical capabilities including superhuman jumping and strength.
During the Second Meteor Event recovery, Jenkins led Team 2 into Russia to recover a fragment in hostile territory. His team suffered significant casualties: Andrews was killed and Thompson’s Voss Combat Suit was corroded to a rusted husk by the Fragment Bear — a massive, roughly 35-foot-tall mutated bear resistant to conventional weapons. Miller survived but was shaken. Jenkins held his team together until the PC team parachuted in to assist. After the bear was killed, Jenkins radioed the Russian forces hiding in a nearby cave to inform them the threat was neutralized.
