Summary

The unified armed forces of the Federal Republic of Germany. The Bundeswehr comprises the Heer (army), Marine (navy), Luftwaffe (air force), and various joint commands. Jens Hartmann enlisted in the Bundeswehr at 19, tested into the Pioniertruppe (engineer corps), and was later selected for the Kampfschwimmer — the combat swimmer element of KSK.

Role in Campaign

Background faction. The Bundeswehr is to Jens what the Canadian Armed Forces are to Guy — the parent military structure. Unlike Guy’s strained relationship with the CAF, Jens’s relationship with the Bundeswehr is professional and healthy. He was selected for the contractor program on merit, not shipped out as a problem.
