Backerstrasse 14 Adler Rooms

Anna_Lindqvist reveals to the party once she can speak
Description
An address in Vienna: Bäckerstraße 14. Personal rooms of Kapellmeister Friedrich Adler. Known to Anna_Lindqvist because she has been brought there for “training sessions” during her captivity-in-plain-sight.
What It Reveals
- Adler has a private Vienna base distinct from the University and the Conservatory. This is where he stores personal effects — possibly correspondence with Herzfeld, the Brotherhood_of_the_Open_Measure’s Munich contacts via Der_Kantor, and notes on the Engine’s performance requirements.
- The address is not widely known. Kaunitz may or may not know it. Vogel probably does not — the rooms are Adler’s personal space, not Brotherhood operational property.
- The rooms are almost certainly unoccupied during the masquerade (Adler is at the Palais Lobkowitz) and remain unoccupied afterwards because Adler is fleeing.
Where Found
Bäckerstrasse is a narrow medieval street in the Vienna inner city, between St. Stephen’s Cathedral district and the university quarter. Number 14 is a townhouse with rented upper-floor rooms typical for professional men of Adler’s standing.
Connections
- Discovery vector: Anna_Lindqvist (Session 9 debrief, once she can speak)
- Actionable by: the entire party — any PC with an hour to spare before the political noose tightens
- Access method: a lock (Katherine_Ward can pick it; Nell_Coker can case the building first) or direct entry if the rooms have been abandoned during Adler’s flight
- Ownership confusion: if Adler flees to the University rather than Bäckerstrasse, the rooms are a soft target. If he is captured or killed, the rooms are unguarded.
Relationships
- Reveals location of Anton Adler — Adler's personal rooms in Vienna
- Testified by Anna Lindqvist — Anna knows the address from her training sessions with Adler
- Actionable in Session 9 Plan — Available as an investigation lead in Session 9 once Anna is debriefed
