Background

Mrs. Margaret Fairchild is the innkeeper’s wife at The Fox & Hound in Portsmouth. A stout, sharp-eyed woman, she took charge of Marina_Garrick when the wounded young woman arrived at the inn after fleeing Osney_Grange in the curate’s stolen coach, Summer 1813.

Campaign History

  • Summer 1813: Stepped out of the inn as Marina’s coach arrived, immediately recognising her distress. Took Marina inside and saw to her care. Later admitted Lady_Honoria_Lyndhurst when she arrived to recruit Marina, deferring to Honoria with either familiarity or instinctive deference.

Character Notes

  • Practical and decisive — her first reaction to a wounded stranger was “Come inside before you drop where you stand”
  • Whether she has any prior connection to the Order_of_St_Aelfric is unconfirmed
